EXOSOMES: THE SECRET TO RADIANT AND REJUVENATED SKIN

Exosomes are one of the most exciting breakthroughs in skin care right now. Originally used in regenerative medicine, these tiny messengers are transforming the way we help our skin heal, repair and rejuvenate.

In my clinic, I have seen how they can calm irritation, boost radiance, speed up healing after procedures and strengthen the skin barrier.

If you're new to exosomes, they are tiny molecules our skin cells use to communicate. Think of them as little messengers that deliver instructions to tell the skin when to repair, regenerate and calm inflammation. Over time, or when our skin is stressed, this communication slows down.

By using carefully selected exosomes, we can support the skin's natural healing process and encourage rejuvenation. Their effectiveness in-clinic made it clear that exosomes deserved a place in my patients’ everyday skincare.

Introducing our latest launch:  Dr Somji Exosome Barrier Repair Serum

We are excited to announce the newest addition to our range, the  Dr Somji Exosome Barrier Repair Serum. This multifunctional super serum is loaded with water radish exosomes, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. They help soothe redness, even out skin tone, boost hydration and support collagen production. It also contains ceramides to strengthen and lock in moisture, hexapeptides and argireline to smooth and firm, plus natural extracts including oat kernel, pine bark and passionfruit seed oil to calm, nourish and protect.

Exosomes across the Dr Somji range

Exosomes are at the heart of our skincare range. Each one has unique properties that target different concerns. Here are a few of the plant-based exosomes we have infused in our products…

Water Radish Exosomes
Extracted from the root of the water radish, these exosomes are rich in vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. They offer antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-repairing benefits, helping to hydrate, strengthen the skin barrier and soothe irritation.

Green Tangerine Exosomes
Derived from green tangerines that were sourced directly from Jeju Island in Korea, these exosomes are super high in vitamin C. They are ideal for promoting radiance. Also rich in nobiletin, which is a potent anti-inflammatory compound, they can reduce wrinkles, soothe inflammation and restore skin elasticity and hydration. Centella Asiatica Exosomes
Centella asiatica, also known as tiger grass, has a long reputation as a skin-healing herb. Legend has it that tigers would roll in it to help their wounds recover. In skincare, it’s known for being incredibly calming and restorative. Centella exosomes work brilliantly to soothe irritation, reduce redness and support skin repair and rejuvenation, making it a great option for sensitive complexions. We are only just starting to see how powerful exosomes can be in skincare.
