DR MUNIR SOMJI

Dr Munir Somji is a globally recognised cosmetic surgeon and founder of the award- winning DrMediSpa clinic group. With over a decade of experience treating complex skin concerns, he is widely regarded as a key opinion leader in medical aesthetics.

Dr Somji studied — and later taught — the postgraduate Master’s programme in
Clinical Dermatology at King’s College London. He also lectures internationally,
trains medical practitioners and works with leading aesthetic device companies to trial emerging technologies.

Prior to launching his own range, Dr Somji advised on skincare formulations for major global brands. But years in clinic revealed a growing problem: patients arriving with severely impaired skin barriers caused by harsh actives and overly complicated routines. Often forced to turn patients away until their skin recovered, Dr Somji began formulating his own clinical solutions in-clinic. Those formulations became the foundation for Dr Somji Skincare: a streamlined range of clinically effective, multi-active formulas designed to treat, repair and protect the skin.

HENAL SOMJI

Henal Somji is a medical aesthetician, skincare expert and co-founder of both the DrMediSpa clinic group and Dr Somji Skincare.

Over the past decade she has worked hands-on with patients in clinic, developing deep expertise in treating complex skin concerns including sensitivity, pigmentation, acne and impaired skin barriers.

Henal was instrumental in the development of Dr Somji Skincare, personally testing and trialling formulations throughout the process to ensure they performed not just clinically, but in real life. A key focus for her was creating products that layer seamlessly together — and under makeup — without pilling, something she found surprisingly difficult to achieve with existing skincare. It was equally important that every formula remained fragrance-free to minimise irritation and protect sensitive skin.

Working closely with the formulation team, Henal helped ensure the products combine multiple active ingredients while remaining stable, safe and elegant to use — delivering results without compromising the skin barrier. Closely involved in trialling new treatments and skincare technologies within the clinics, Henal brings a practical, patient-focused perspective to product development.

A busy mum of three and passionate advocate for healthy skin, she is known for her honest approach to skincare and practical advice that fits into modern life.
