THE FOUR WELLNESS PILLARS THAT SUPPORT HEALTHY, GLOWING SKIN

I’m often asked if a single moisturiser or serum can transform the skin. While I’ll always stand by the power of high-quality topicals, they don’t work on their own. Our skin is a living organ that responds to how we rest, what we eat and how we manage our daily lives.

 

In my experience, healthy skin is never just down to one thing. It’s a combination of daily habits - good sleep, hydration, nutrition and movement, alongside a consistent skincare routine. When all of these work together, my skin functions at its best. But when one of these pillars is neglected, it tends to show up as dullness, sensitivity or breakouts.

 

1. Sleep for good skin

One of the most underrated yet powerful wellness tips is getting good quality sleep. When we sleep, the body goes into repair mode - producing collagen, reducing inflammation and restoring hydration levels. When we don’t get enough rest, our skin and energy levels can suffer. 2. Hydrating the skin from within
Staying hydrated is my number one wellness habit. Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day keeps skin plump, hydrated and aids detoxification. Our diet plays an important role too. I make a conscious effort to eat more antioxidant-rich fruits, vegetables and healthy fats like omega-3s to help my skin stay resilient. I particularly love adding salmon to my meals for its skin-loving benefits. Consistent choices like these really add up over time.

 

3. Skincare consistency 

When it comes to skincare, consistency matters far more than having lots of steps. Cleansing properly, applying targeted actives and keeping skin hydrated helps keep the skin barrier healthy.
